Luxury Scottish gin brand, Old Tom Gin 1821, announces partnership with the Scottish Italian Awards 2021
A new and exclusive luxury gin brand with links to the Ryder Cup has confirmed its upcoming sponsorship of the prestigious ‘Scotland’s Best Restaurant under 50 seats’ category at this year’s Scottish Italian Awards.
Recently confirmed as a supplier of all gin and gin-based cocktails at the iconic Ryder Cup 2023, the brand’s new partnership with the annual awards will allow Old Tom Gin 1821 to grow its connections within the Scottish hospitality sector and gain credibility amongst the Scottish/Italian business community.
Dedicated to representing the very best Italian companies based in Scotland, the Scottish Italian Awards align perfectly with the history of the Old Tom Gin 1821 brand, its personal connections to the two countries and its unique story of tradition and innovation.
Founder of Old Tom Gin 1821, Giorgio Cozzolino, explained: “Created in the historic golfing destination of St. Andrews and distilled using the finest Sicilian ingredients, Old Tom Gin 1821 brings you the best of Italy, grounded by our Scottish roots.
“The brand-new Super Premium gin has been designed to symbolise a harmonious marriage between my Italian homeland and my love for the iconic Scottish town where I have resided for the last six years and now call ‘home’.
“We are thrilled to be working in partnership with such a distinguished organisation – and one that shares our same values and unique heritage. We are honoured to be able to support some of Scotland’s most premium, independent restaurants and are excited for what lies ahead.”
Warren Paul, Event Director at the Scottish Italian Awards, added: “We are delighted to be working with Old Tom Gin 1821 at this year’s Scottish Italian Awards. The brand is an embodiment of the wonderful relationship between Scotland and Italy, so welcoming a premier quality Scottish gin that’s made using the very best Italian ingredients as our partner is an honour.”
Boasting an ongoing business strategy centred around partnerships and people, Old Tom Gin 1821 sponsored this year’s Scottish Bar & Pub Awards hosted by licensed trade magazine Dram Scotland, while founder Giorgio Cozzolino was recently shortlisted in the ‘The Game Changer – Entrepreneur of the Year’ category at the Dundee & Angus Chamber Business Awards 2021.
The Scottish Italian Awards pride themselves on being the ‘fairest contest in the country’ by giving all the power to the general public. Individuals are invited to vote for their favourite Italian venues and businesses across Scotland, with the top businesses that receive the most votes in each category automatically entered into the final.
